These terms govern your purchase and use of Kainos Healthcare software. Last updated June 2026.

1. Who we are

This website and the Kainos HL7 Editor software are provided by Kainos Healthcare Solutions, LLC ("Kainos Healthcare", "we", "us"). By purchasing or using our software you agree to these terms.

2. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable sales tax and VAT are calculated by Paddle at checkout. Licenses are sold as annual subscriptions unless stated otherwise.

3. License and acceptable use

Kainos Healthcare Solutions, LLC. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Kainos HL7 Editor on the number of workstations covered by your subscription, for your internal business purposes during the annual license term.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, or create derivative works of the software
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it
  • sublicense, resell, rent, or transfer your license to another party
  • use it to provide hosted or time-sharing services to third parties
  • remove or alter any copyright or trademark notices

Kainos HL7 Editor is a software tool for IT and integration professionals. It is not a medical device and is not intended for clinical decision-making or direct patient care.

4. Refunds

5. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy.

6. Liability, warranty, governing law, and termination

Warranty disclaimer. The software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability. Kainos Healthcare Solutions, LLC. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for the software in the prior 12 months.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Termination. We may suspend or end your license if you breach these terms. On termination, your right to use the software ends immediately and you must delete all copies.
